Hi @MeneerJacco
please send me your ICCID or IMSI in a private message via the forum chat tool and I’m going to look at your tariff.
Thanks,
Uta

RE: Roaming - local network partners
Hi @JakubT I saw the data traffic in our portal. I hope that this is a good sign? Please let me know if you need anything else! Have a nice evening.

RE: Solution Guidelines for successful IoT deployments
Btw: our goal is also to minimize signaling storms from inefficient IoT devices not supporting the TS.34 Radio Policy Manager (RPM) feature. What’s your experience with TS.34 RPM so far?

Solution Guidelines for successful IoT deployments
Do you know that you can save a lot of time in your IoT development and deployment activities by following our IoT solution guidelines?
Deutsche Telekom has a team dedicated to continuously improving the network, upgrading it with new features and testing and certifying of modules of all manufacturers to make sure they work well with our networks. If you additionally respect our simple rules like:
-
avoid synchronous device behavior - add randomization to your cloud app and firmware
-
only send wake-up messages to devices that you know are attached to the network (make sure you know the device status)
-
and some more
you’ll end up with an amazing IoT application and successful business case. We’re here to help you, feel free to add your question as a comment here or contact me via uta@iotcreators.com.

RE: LTE-M Connection Problem with BG96
@Kurosh said in LTE-M Connection Problem with BG96:

why does it show “8”?

RE: LTE-M Connection Problem with BG96
Hi Kurosh, in Germany, Deutsche Telekom uses band 20 for LTE-M.
See here -
RE: SIM7020E has trouble entering PSM
Hi MeneerJacco,
I don’t know the exact answer for you, I apologise. But didn’t want to let you waiting either. May I provide you with a link for further technical deep-dive on the matter: please look at our technology cards hereYou will find a lot of knowledge around power saving features, just open the required section
In case that didn’t help you please reach out again and I’m gonna find someone on our end on Monday.
Have a nice weekend,

RE: Device registration failure in LTE-M Cat-M1
I see successful connections in our backend and will send you details by email.

RE: Device registration failure in LTE-M Cat-M1
Hello Mr Bruns,
for LTE-M you can use the APN internet.m2mportal.de.
In Germany, bands 20, 3 are used, other countries see on our roaming info page
If you’re interested in further technical information about LTE-M: here we go
Please let me know whether that worked for you!
Regards, Uta -
RE: NBIoT Roaming
The GSMA offers a “Mobile IoT Deployment Map”. You can click on a country and see various information per technology type e.g. which operator deployed that network type and even URL’s of the operators’ maps for that country (if the MNO made it available). GSMA is improving and enhancing it continuously.

RE: LTE-M Connection Problem with BG96
Hi Kurosh,
08:57:32.505 -> at+cgdcont=1,“IP”,“internet.nbiot.telekom.de”
this APN is for NB-IoT only.
For LTE-M you can use the APN internet.m2mportal.de.I suspect that between 08:57:57.281 and 08:58:00.579 you get a +CEREG: 0,3 (rejected from network)?

RE: No device data in GUI
@Michal-Szwajdo our UDP adapter seems to have received your messages but we need to look closer on that. We’ll come back to you on Monday!

RE: Configuration of APN (and other parameters) for Telekom Global EU eSims over Europe
@inka-O internet.telekom is for smartphones. it won’t work for NB-IoT and the SIM cards are not allowed to use it I believe.
-
RE: Configuration of APN (and other parameters) for Telekom Global EU eSims over Europe
@inka-O this is a SIM that you can use with the APN internet.m2mportal.de for 2G/3G/4G and NB-IoT and the APN internet.nbiot.telekom.de for NB-IoT only

RE: Network time
@Sven-Brandau said in Network time:
Hello,
is the feature ‘network time’ (3GPP 27.007 Ch. 8.15) for NB-IOT/Cat-M1 supported in the Deutsche Telekom mobile network?
The NRF9160 SIP returns an error, while requesting the time. Also after a long time of being connected.Hi Sven, sorry that it took us so long.
But now we have a clear statement from our experts that the network time feature is NOT supported in our network in Germany. -
RE: SIM Chips - roaming in Italien
@Malte-Neumann regarding the roaming in Italy: we have an agreement with Vodafone for Italy. But we still have some technical issues, that our SIM are not able to connect to this operator network. We are working on this together with Vodafone.
We’ll keep you updated on this article.(please don’t post sensitive data in the forum - you can always contact me via the forum chat to exchange ICCIDs etc.)

RE: At what altitude can I expect to send and receive messages above the Netherlands
Spanish researchers published an interesting paper about their measurements of radio signal strengths up until 3000 m height above base stations. They concluded that the network works reliably between 1000-3000 m height at the location of their experiment (Spain). More insight can be found in their article.

RE: Amazon Web Service (AWS) via NB-IoT or LTE-M ?
@Holger-Wech you can use LTE-M instead of the 2G/3G fallback that is described in our quick start guide. Please use the APN internet.m2mportal.de for LTE-M.
-
RE: Unable to register / delete device
Hi @Cees-Meijer, we are investigating this issue and come back with a reply asap. Thanks for your patience.
-
RE: Amazon Web Service (AWS) via NB-IoT or LTE-M ?
@Holger-Wech Your SIM cards are deactivated now because the contract ended 2019. But I’ll replace them for free and they will be shipped in the next few days. Thus you can additionally benefit from our new features like LTE-M and roaming. I’m glad that we were able to solve the issue this way.

RE: Limited Data Rate after to many messages on aday?
we experience this kind of behavior sometimes under poor network condition (weak signal). what CE-level did your module show?
