Roaming - local network partners
-
Are there any SIM-based restrictions (plan for EU embedded SIMs) for connecting to T-Mobile / Deutsche Telekom partners in different countries only? We are experiencing issues and observe an adherence to only these partner networks, which can result in delay of messages in case there is no coverage. I would like to understand if this issue or restriction is SIM-based.

@JakubT ,
Could you help us understand what you exactly mean with “SIM-based restrictions”? Which specific issues are you experiencing?
Are you also talking about a network technology specifically (e.g. NB-IoT or LTE-M)?
Best regards,
Ronan -
SIM-based restrictions - meaning if the SIM has a restriction of local roaming only… If the SIM is enabled to join only partner networks with EU or if it can join also non-Deutsche Telekom partners. We use LTE-M, 4G, and 2G networks.

This essentially depends on your SIM contract and associated tariff. If this tariff includes EU-Roaming for instance, then Roaming in all Roaming Partner networks should be possible, and not only in DT’s own affiliates’ network.

@JakubT ,
May I ask you if you’re still encounting roaming connectivity issues?
If you do, please don’t hesitate to provide us more details about the exact problem you’re experiencing!
Best regards,

@JakubT , in addition to @Ronan-Lacroix last post, he also checked the simcard numbers that you sent to me by email and he did not see any attempts to attach to the network so far…

Hi @JakubT I saw the data traffic in our portal. I hope that this is a good sign? Please let me know if you need anything else! Have a nice evening.

@Uta - Hello! Yes, the activity is expected as a field is test is ongoing (yesterday and today). Additional logs from the 2 SIMs at of the day today via email would be again appreciated.
