RE: eDRX in NB1 network?
Hi Aleksandra,
thanks for your offer. But I think at the moment it is not necessary to conduct tests in your lab in Bonn. We have the oppotunity to do some tests with a network simulator in an other Honeywell department (in India). If I will have the need for testing in Bonn before June, I would gladly come back to your offer.Best regards, Thomas

RE: Maximum number of messages per day
Hi Noah,
are there any news concerning the maximum length (number of bytes) per message for NB-IoT and LTE-M?

RE: eDRX in NB1 network?
Hi Aleksandra,
I come back to my question from 2 month ago concerning the availability of eDRX in the Telekom NB-IoT network (see above).
Is the date “end of Q1/2020” still up to date? We are waiting desperately for eDRX!
We would like to test eDRX in our lab here in D-55252 Mainz-Kastel.
Best regards

Hi Ronan,
thanks for your response!
And what about the maximum length (number of bytes) per message?

RE: eDRX in NB1 network?
Hi Aleksandra,
many thanks for your response.
Yes, you are right. My question relates to the German network.
So I will have to wait till Q2/2020.

Maximum number of connection attempts over a set period of time in NB1/M1 networks?
Hi,
is there a “Maximum number of connection attempts over a set period of time” for Cat.NB1 and Cat.M1 networks defined by DTAG?
Reason for this question:
On page 4 of the Telekom „IoT Solution Guidelines 2.1 - No Harm to Network“ (see attached) I found this sentence:
“The IoT Device Application SHOULD monitor the number of network connections it attempts over a set period of time. If the number of connection attempts exceeds a maximum value set by the IoT Service Provider, the IoT Device Application sends a report to the IoT Service Platform and stops requesting mobile network connectivity until the necessary time period has expired.”0_1578568654562_IoT Solution Guidelines 2.1 - No Harm to Network.pdf In this context a further question appears:
How should the IoT Device Application send a report to the IoT Service Platform if the maximum allowed number of connection attempts failed?Best regards, Thomas

eDRX in NB1 network?
Is eDRX already supported by the NB1 network?
(in summer 2019 I was told that eDRX will be provided in Q4/2019)

Maximum number of messages per day
Hi,
is there an overview of the Cat.NB1 and Cat.M1 tariffs offered by DTAG, showing the maximum number of messages/day and the maximum number of bytes/message allowed depending on the selected tariff?
Reason for this question:
On page 3 of the Telekom „IoT Solution Guidelines 2.1 - No Harm to Network“ (see attached) I found this sentence:
IoT Server Applications communicating with IoT Devices over 3GPP Low Power Wide Area (LPWA) access bearers, such as NB-IoT and LTE-M, SHALL optimize their application reporting period to never exceed Deutsche Telekom affiliate tariff’s daily maximum number of messages."
Remark:
I am aware of the limitation regarding the permitted data volume/month (500kByte/month/measuring point in the NB1 network).Best regards, Thomas0_1578493276336_IoT Solution Guidelines 2.1 - No Harm to Network.pdf

LTE-Cat.M1 Rollout in Germany
Hello,
concerning LTE-Cat.M1:- When will Cat.M1 be rolled out in Germany?
- When will Cat.M1 be available in the Rhein-Main region (espacially in 55252 Mainz-Kastel)?
- Will Cat.M1 be rolled out across the whole country, or only in cities?
Best regards, Thomas
